My services include an interview to see if we are a good fit, then I am on call to you answering any questions, emails, text, and I research anything you want to know or have questions about. Then there are 1 or 2 prenatal meetings where we get to know each other better, make a birth plan, go over a LOT of information about your options, breastfeeding, methods and tools that can help you have a more comfortable experience. On the second meeting we do a birth practice/positions, how to utilize the rebozo, and finalize your birth plan etc. I gift you, or let you borrow a rebozo (mexican shawl that is used in labor) and it is AWESOME.
When you go into labor I will join you at your home. We will labor there for as long as we can until we go to the place of your birth, wherever that is? I will stay with you after your birth for 1-2 hrs usually, to make sure breastfeeding is established, answer any questions, and photograph your new sweet baby. Because photography is an added bonus to my services and editing takes up a ton of time, we usually forgo the postpartum visit, but there are calls/texts and check ins to see if any additional help is needed. We usually meet up to talk about/process your birth when you come to pick up your pictures.
I also photograph the whole labor process and birth as part of the package, which is pretty priceless. I give you all of the edited/unedited pictures for you to keep. I also can use the pictures and make you a birth video (addition fee if desired) and it is put to music of your choice. The time taking the pictures, editing, and making the video, is substantial. I feel that this all inclusive package definitely sets me apart from other doula’s. You will find that birth\photographers or doula’s charge this price for their individual service and I do both of these services for $1,000. If you would like to make an appointment for an interview, shoot me an email. Hope to hear from you soon! Or if you would like to just hire services separately I can doula for $850 or photograph for $500.
